At Ziongate, the community comes together to celebrate electronic music from the motherland and its diaspora. From Afrotech to Gqom to Batida, infectious riddims are channeled to liberate our guests from the stresses of daily life, inviting them to be fully present; with the music and with each other.

This edition marks a cross-cultural exchange with RISE, a Berlin-based organization, club night, and label that has been championing Afrohouse in Germany for over a decade.

Rancido

Rancido, AKA Randy Tjon-A-Fon, is a DJ/Producer is known for his afro, deep, soulful and uplifting sounds. Following a successful residency at Paradiso's SOULHEAVEN in 2009, he launched his own label 'Deep Journey Recordings' in 2012, bringing his music to audiences worldwide and earning the support of numerous artists including: Black Coffee, Little Louie Vega, Renato Xtrova, Anané, Boddhi Satva, Osunlade, Djeff Afrozilla, DJ Gregory, Abicah Soul, Zepherin Saint, N'DingaGaba, Gregor Salto, Antonello Coghe and Mark Knight.

Wes Lee is the musical alter-ego of WaxFiend, one of Europe’s most sought after and respected DJs. Combining music from genres like hip-hop, danchehall, Afrobeat, house, soul, R&B and more, his unique sound and impressive career spans opening arena shows for artists inlcuding Rihanna, Young Thug, Kaytranada, SBTRKT, Kehlani & Sean Paul, alongside his residency at Encore, Holland's biggest weekly club night.

Behind the scenes, he is an active driving force behind 2 of Holland’s most respected platforms: Jamrock and Encore, alongside programming shows and nightlife events at Paradiso since 2020. Attuned to what’s next, he is currently curating a larger platform for South African electronic music in Amsterdam, with his Tribes and Ziongate events bringing some of SA’s most prolific artist’s to Amsterdam already.
