House rules

Parallel opens its doors to everyone who respects the space and each other. Please read the following carefully before attending.
Entry Policy
  • Parallel has a zero tolerance policy for any form of discrimination.
  • To maintain a safe and respectful space, Parallel reserves the right to deny entry at any time, ticket or no ticket.
    • Entry may be refused for reasons including (but not limited to): visible intoxication, aggressive or disrespectful behavior, arriving in large groups, or wearing inappropriate attire (e.g. suits, offensive imagery, football jerseys, groupwear). 
    • Final decisions always rest with our staff. Stay respectful. Come as you are but come correct.
  • Parallel has a no flash policy and your phone’s flash will be covered at the door. We kindly ask you to put away your phone on the dance floor. Respect the privacy and comfort of those around you.
  • We sometimes have professional photographers and videographers at our events. By entering the location you agree to the making, publication and reproduction of these images by Parallel and/or promoters and media partners. It is prohibited to bring or use your own professional photo-, film-, drone-, sound- and/or other recording equipment. 
  • Only people aged 18 and over are allowed at Parallel. Some events are 21+, make sure to double check on our website. Please bring a valid ID with you. 
  • Consumption, trade or possession of hard drugs is strictly prohibited.
  • Weapons, glassware, plastic bottles, cans, fireworks, laughing gas and any other risky items are strictly prohibited. Food, drinks, and animals should also stay at home.
  • We reserve the right to search visitors upon entry. 
  • Smoking and vapes are only permitted in the designated smoking area.
  • Distributing promotional material (flyers, posters, etc.) is not allowed without written permission.
  • Security cameras are installed in various places to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors.
     
Code of Conduct
  • Parallel values inclusivity and freedom of expression.
  • We do not tolerate any form of discrimination—including but not limited to xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, colourism, ageism, ableism—or any form of hate, violence, or harassment (whether sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical). Any activity of this nature will lead to eviction, and a potential ban, from Parallel. 
  • If you experience something that makes you feel uncomfortable, please report this to a member of staff. You can also help by keeping an eye out for fellow ravers, asking them if they are ok & need help or by reporting something you see to our staff.
