Zaho de Sagazan is a French-speaking singer-songwriter who released her debut album 'La Symphonie des éclairs' last year. In her teens, Zaho developed a love for the classic French chanson: she admired Maurice Fanon's word art in "L'Écharpe" or Barbara's in "Du bout des lèvres," because they touched on the most intimate emotions. She also explored the darker, droning electro of bands like Kraftwerk. Both worlds come together on the album: French chansons with a dark edge, sung by a voice of metallic velvet.
