Standing as one of the most exciting DJs on the European circuit, Yung Singh has spent recent years levelling up from a local phenomenon to a bona fide continental star. As an open format DJ, his sets can vary from garage and UK funky to grime, jungle and DnB mixed with Punjabi folk, to sweet, nostalgic trance or hip-hop, and everything in between. Contributing to the re-energisation of the British Punjabi and South Asian music scene, Yung Singh's output has made him a frontrunner in this resurgence.

Line-up

Yung Singh

Fiercely proud of his Punjabi-Sikh heritage, Singh’s achievements can be viewed as a continuation of the Punjabi community’s colossal contribution to the art of the South Asian diaspora, winding back from the original Daytimer raves in the 1980s, the Asian underground scene in the 90s and the UK Bhangra of the 00s. Keen to make sure those that came before are not forgotten, he partnered with the Ministry of Sound to produce ‘The Birth of Punjabi Garage’, a documentary about the much beloved, yet oft-forgotten, sound that his Punjab Garage Mix brought back into focus.

SAIDAH

Amsterdam-based with London roots, SAIDAH takes inspiration from the birthplace of garage to bring high energy and four to the floor beats to her sets. Combining well known UKG classics with underground releases, she aims to open up the garage genre to new audiences with a fresh sound and perspective. Expect to hear a set filled with R&B vocals paired with fast-paced, lively grooves.
