Every Friday, Parallel opens the doors to Terra: a fresh weekly club concept showcasing sounds from the global electronic underground. The month kicks off on April 5th with TSVI joining the Terra tribe. The Italian DJ and producer based in London is known for his signature functional, electronic percussive tracks that draw influences from a diverse range of music from all over the world. The co-founder of the UK-based record label Nervous Horizon, which is shaping the contemporary sound of highly percussive, stripped back, club music, has cemented himself as a leading light of London’s underground scene. See him in action next Friday at together with resident Chalé and Parallel regular Deemz.

Welcome to a new home ground in Amsterdam where sounds from the global diaspora collide and mutate with the western electronic sphere, creating new matter united by a percussive, bass-driven cohesion.

Together with a team of residents and weekly guests, Terra showcases a weekly constellation of Afro house, Amapiano, baile funk, batida, gqom, futuristic mutations of dancehall, reggaeton and many more under one roof. TSVI

TSVI, AKA Guglielmo Barzacchini, is an Italian DJ and producer based in London; he makes functional, electronic percussive tracks with influences originating from a diverse range of music from all over the world.

TSVI is a leading light of the London’s rave underground scene, and he is the co-founder of the UK-based record label Nervous Horizon, which is shaping the contemporary sound of highly percussive, stripped back, club music. His debut album ‘Inner Worlds’, released in October 2018, is an exploration of his Hindu upbringing and the Sufi Islam introduced by his partner. He has received support from Aphex Twin, Gilles Peterson, Kode9 (Hyperdub), Mike Paradinas (Planet Mu) and many more. In recent years, he performed at CTM festival 2019 at Berghain, Field Day London, No Bounds Festival, and he also toured internationally in Europe as well as in China, Japan, Korea and more. In late 2019, Barzacchini made his debut on London-based label AD93 with his new alias, Anunaku; the project is strictly focused on dance floor material within the 125-130bpm spectrum and it explores the use of various drums from around the world combined with elements of UK underground club music.

Deemz

Deemz’s talent for curating the freshest gems, trappy 808s, and speaker-knocking kicks quickly elevated her status as a prominent figure in the Dutch hip-hop scene. Currently, Deemz is shifting her focus towards exploring the electronic music scene, experimenting with different genres, and discovering new, raw sounds. Her style can be described as a fusion of bass, garage, house, and grime, combined with experimental electronic sounds and Afro-diasporic influences. Despite this shift, she remains grounded in her musical roots, incorporating the sounds that have influenced her as a DJ.

CHALÉ

CHALÉ is an Amsterdam-based DJ. As a child of Ghanaian parents, he was introduced to different types of African music at an early age. As he grew older he developed his passion for music which eventually led him to master the decks. He is known for his energetic, eclectic music selection varying from UK Bass, club music from the diaspora and hip hop, which he also showcases during his monthly radio show, on Operator Radio. CHALÉ has established himself as a household name in the Amsterdam nightlife scene, but he has also extended his resume with performances abroad in Paris, Berlin, Milan, London, Copenhagen just to name a few.
