Every Friday, Parallel opens the doors to Terra: a fresh weekly club concept showcasing sounds from the global electronic underground. For the first edition of Terra in February we invited electronic producer and DJ KILIMANJARO from the UK. He is known for his high-energy performances and his infectious crowd-raising persona; playing the sounds of Afro, Amapiano, House and the world, forever bringing the party. Joined by Terra residents State OFFF, and OISHĪ, showcasing their unique sonic directions, including: gqom, amapiano, jungle, UK bass, and Afro tech.

Welcome to a new home ground in Amsterdam where sounds from the global diaspora collide and mutate with the western electronic sphere, creating new matter united by a percussive, bass-driven cohesion.

Together with a team of residents and weekly guests, Terra showcases a weekly constellation of Afro house, Amapiano, baile funk, batida, gqom, futuristic mutations of dancehall, reggaeton and many more under one roof. KILIMANJARO

KILIMANJARO, hailing from Southern Africa, raised in Scotland and now residing in London, combines his background of Afro-centric rhythms and influences with the fast paced energies of the western electronic scene, where he has learned and perfected his craft over the past few years. The FLY, La Cheetah Club and Pleasurehood resident brings his unique energy to every performance. Recognized for his high-octane performances and infectious stage presence, KILIMANJARO is a master at igniting celebrations and consistently leaves his mark on every event, gathering new admirers who eagerly await his next show.

With his influence extending to the broader UK and European scenes, he has shared stages with acclaimed artists such as Fred Again, Optimo, Melé, Folamour, Denis Sulta, Absolute, Eclair Fifi, Hammer, Theo Kottis, Jaguar, and Arielle Free. Notably, his electrifying debut on Boiler Room garnered over 350k views, further establishing his dynamic presence. Fueled by anticipation, KILIMANJARO is poised to showcase his unique essence to the global stage.

This past year has seen KILIMANJARO return to the studio, bringing his rhythmic energy and unique vocal style to all of his production, with his vocals allowing him to truly express himself to the fullest. 2021 saw KILIMANJARO launch his own brand, KILIMANJARO MUSIC, which has allowed him to focus on championing black, POC, female and other marginalised DJs and producers from up and down the country. The brand has manifested itself in the form of club nights and parties in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow, a monthly radio residency on Project Radio.

OISHĪ brings her iconic recipe of femme-fatale and raw edge style to all her mixes. The eclectic DJ and fashion designer has been an avid contributor to the blossoming of Afro-futurism in the Netherlands, regularly showing her take on the diversifying electronic club landscape by crafting her own sonic universe.

OISHĪ's creativity flows effortlessly, merging vogue beats, baile funk, Afro rhythms, and house into her distinctive sound. She's a professional when it comes to providing the musical gems that crowds so often desire - the familiar anthems that feel melodic, warm, and lusty.

State OFFF

The Amsterdam-based DJ, producer, and creative mastermind flawlessly showcases high energy sets that combine the exhilarating sounds of new age Gqom interspersed with exciting contemporary genres and edits from the African diaspora and beyond. His debut EP, 'GQOM TODAY', introduced a futuristic take on the dark, minimalist sound and went on to top Apple’s Hardcore Electronic Music charts across multiple countries.

State OFFF's performances are set ablaze with refreshing sounds, as he so masterfully strings together the right kicks, chants, and rhythms.
