SATURDAY 19TH OCTOBER AT PARALLEL
DOORS: 23:59-06:00

ADE has rolled around once again and we couldn’t be more excited to descend into the smoke on October 19th with two of the hardest names from the UK and US: Anz and Introspekt! Closer to home we have local legends Bebebad, Tsepo and EYCEE bringing the energy to ensure the entire PARDON sound palette is represented on this HUGE line up.

Gracing renowned venues and festivals like Glastonbury, Panorama Bar, Fabric and many more - it’s a pleasure to welcome MOBO award-nominated DJ producer Anz to PARDON! Constantly pushing the envelope and digging deeper she continues to smash out banging releases on Hessle Audio and her own OTMI label to name only a couple. After witnessing that raucous B2B at Dekmantel in 2023 with previous guest Special Request, we are sure it’ll be similar scenes at Parallel. Strap in for a lesson in UK’s rave heritage and beyond!

Hailing from Los Angeles, Introspekt’s productions can usually be heard reverberating around most PARDON editions, so we are buzzed to see her take to the booth in person at this one! Whether its releases on EC2A, Locked On, T4T LUV NRG or her killer stash of personal edits and dubs on Bandcamp, she always delivers an eclectic mix of bass heavy club music linked heavily to the garage scene.

Tsepo makes his PARDON debut this edition, ever-present in the city through his residencies at De School and Breakfast Club. Alongside his Radio Radio show ‘Realising Stuff’ (a PARDON HQ fave), it’s probably overdue he brings his captivating productions and mixing style to our dancefloor.

Bebebad joins us fresh from a stunning debut of her FreÏ concept earlier this year - she brings that bouncey, bubblin’ style that we’ve come to expect from her. We’ve been itching to invite her back after an iconic set after Jamz Supernova back in 2022 for us so now’s the time!

PARDON schemer EYCEE will link together the line-up he has assembled! Still coming back down to earth after festival szn including a wild B2B with CHALÉ at Wildeburg. He still found time to drop a fresh edit ‘(EY)CMYK’ and make sure that USB is stacked for a special ADE edition!

You know the deal by now, tickets are live now and it’s THAT weekend so cop early and save yourself the stress.

Line-up

Anz

Anz is a DJ and Producer based in Manchester, renowned for her genre-spanning productions and mixes. Across her work, she unearths the links between Electro, UK Garage, Jungle and more, underpinning a versatile take on contemporary UK club music as bright as it is unpredictable.

In the summer of 2017, Anz’ self-titled debut EP was championed by fellow UK club figures for its playful high energy sound. Distinguished by her unique style and an unparalleled danceability, she refined the formula for her second EP ‘Invitation 2 Dance’ (2019).

Alongside compilation contributions for Discwoman and remixes for Houndstooth and XL Recordings, in 2020 Anz joined UK club stalwarts Hessle Audio for her third full EP. Three tracks of dark hoovers, wiggling basslines and sharp vocal cuts, ‘Loos In Twos (NRG)’ was a ruffneck ode to the club, working its way into countless DJ sets and end of year lists.

Since then, Anz has been busier than ever. A salvo of standout mixes and her acclaimed NTS Radio residency saw Anz scoop DJ Mag's 2020 ‘Breakthrough DJ’ award, and an invitation to join BBC Radio 1’s Dance Residency line-up in March 2021 soon followed. Taking on monthly shows with two of the UK’s most respected broadcasters, Anz has cemented her position as one of the UK’s most exciting young selectors.

But, as a producer, nowhere is Anz’ prolific workrate better demonstrated than her annual ‘dubs’ mixes. Now in its 6th year, each edition is comprised entirely of original productions running the gamut of UK and international styles - always mixed with her trademark laser-focus and tempo-warping trickery.

After self-releasing the fifth edition of S/S Dubs in a deluxe cassette bundle in December 2020, Anz unveiled her label OTMI in early 2021; a home for her as-yet-unreleased tracks and stylistic counterparts from friends and family across the electronic music spectrum. With the physical release selling out in a day, and lead single ‘Unravel in the Designated Zone’ championed by Danny Howard and Resident Advisor alike, Anz spoke to Crack Magazine about the nascent label and her masterplan in her June 2021 cover feature debut.

Showing no signs of slowing down, Anz joins the Ninja Tune family with the announce of her 4th EP ‘All Hours’. Due for release this Autumn, the record is a full-throttle trip through the history of dance music and underground culture – tracing lines through sun drenched electro into club-focused breakbeat, classic UK garage and jungle - all seamlessly pieced together in Anz’ infectiously joyous style.

From her dubs mixes to her award winning NTS show, guestmixes for Mary-Anne Hobbs to her recent Radio 1 Dance residency, her OTMI imprint to the forthcoming ‘All Hours’ EP, Anz mashes down disparate styles with mystifying ease. Expect nods to seminal scenes and plenty of vibes.

EYCEE

EYCEE (Real name Alexandros Christodoulides) is an electronic musician, producer and DJ hailing from Amsterdam. EYCEE is known for producing forward-sounding club cuts and - in his DJ sets - blending sounds spanning house, jersey club, jungle, UKG, funky, techno & bass. In 2018 he released his debut EP,Delicate Drippin’, on London-based label Sans Absence - run by DJ and Producer Akito. Hot on the heels of his first release, EYCEE followed up with Valuable. The UK funky-infused cut from this EP, ‘Love & BS’ was nominated for the prestigious Xite 2020 Music Video of the Year Award. Being a former resident on the now defunct Red Light Radio and currently at RRFM, EYCEE has been slamming out mixes on a multitude of platforms, with numerous acclaimed guest mixes for radio stations around the world. Outside of his own mixes, his tracks have reached many ears through Boiler Room sets and radio stations such as Triple J (AUS), NTS, Rinse FM and BBC Radio 1(UK). This has not gone unnoticed by 3voor12, they labeled EYCEE as a discovery at Lentekabinet. They also wrote about the artist earlier this year, and the programmer of Lowlands named EYCEE one of the promising Dutch DJs of last year. In addition to his commitment & love of DJing, EYCEE has played a fair part in contributing to the Dutch club scene over the past decade, founding & operating numerous popular club nights across the country. One of them being label and clubnight:PARDON, which made its return to Amsterdam nightlife after the pandemic and has sold out most of their club nights in the last year. The event takes place bi-monthly in the exciting space: Parallel (formerly known as Paradiso Noord) and has hosted events at Paradiso too. Previous guests of the night include: Interplanetary Criminal, Special Request, Nightslugs, Two Shell, Pangaea, Kikelomo, Mad Miran, Jamz Supernova, Ploy, Skin on Skin, Mixtress, Conducta and many more.

Tsepo

Tsepo
Tsepo’s pure dedication to DJing has earned him the respect of promoters around Europe. Rather than producing music to get his name out there, the Dutchman's sole focus is the art and craft of playing the right records at the right time. Always digging for something new and searching out sounds that will add to his musical vocabulary, the man with the big smile and bigger afro lives for longer sets where he can really tell a story.

Veering between considered house and cultured techno, his always interesting selections can make even the biggest clubs seem small and personal. He has a versatile sound that focuses on crafting an overarching atmosphere, be that with hypnotic grooves or deeper drums. For Tsepo, connecting with the crowd is key, whether that’s through subtle peaks and troughs or with more playful, party pumping tunes.
