PARDON
CANCELLED Saturday 21st December at Parallel
23:59-06:00
This club night is cancelled. Last Sunday, a small fire caused damage to the ventilation system at Tolhuistuin. Unfortunately, the repairs will not be completed in time. As a result, it is not possible to responsibly open the venue for events.
The weather is getting icey, the nights are drawing in and as always we are bringing you another line up of only the COLDEST names for our final edition of the year on 21st December! We welcome Kode9, DJ Swisha, Mallaury and EYCEE to Parallel for a hot and heavy low-end showdown to combat the winter blues.
It's not easy to sum up Hyperdub founder Kode9 in one paragraph but the DJ, producer, artist and writer has touched on all corners of music with remixes for legends across genre divides such as Mr. Fingers, Lee Scratch Perry and MF DOOM. He's had an undeniable influence on bass music from a production standpoint through his stacked solo discography (as well as academic), publishing his 'Sonic Warfare' book in 2010. With mixes for institutions such as DJ-Kicks, Fabriclive and Rinse somehow in between all this, he finds time to keep his skills in the booth razor sharp and we can't wait to welcome this legend next month!
Philly-born and Juke Bounce Werk family member, DJ Swisha lands with us at Parallel bringing an arsenal of his polyrhythmic, nostalgic yet forward-thinking dancefloor cuts with him. A contender for one of our favorite and most consistently hittin' Bandcamp pages out there - it's a pleasure to welcome his trademark mix of footwork, juke, booty bass and Jersey club to our dancefloor.
Mallaury has been shutting down dances across Europe recently and after witnessing the ground shake during her rowdy set on the La Cassette stage at Orbit festial, we knew we had to get her in the PARDON booth sooner rather than later! Expect playful yet sonically wide-ranging and powerful tracks blended with precision.
EYCEE rounds out the line-up after having schemed up an all-timer of an ADE edition last October alongside the PARDON team, it was a no-brainer for us to get back in the hotseat ASAP and December 21st was perfect timing!
