Line-up

Hudson Mohawke

Releasing his first solo album in seven years, ’22 was the year that Hudson Mohawke made his long-awaited comeback. An undisputed master at creating musical colour, chaos and (the good kind of) confusion, and executes his wild but poignant visions like no other.

Nikki Nair

Hailing from the southeastern U.S., producer and DJ Nikki Nair cut his teeth co-throwing parties in Tennessee before making his debut as a producer in 2018. In a short time, he’s distinguished himself as a bold voice in the landscape of hybridized dance music.

Nair’s releases traverse genres, often fusing electro, left field techno, breaks and UK bass sentiments. His many EPs have found homes on cult labels like Gobstopper, Banoffee Pies, Pretty Weird, Scuffed, TRAM Planet and Muy Muy Ltd. Despite the essential grittiness of his sound, Nair’s commitment to craft is undeniable, with respected artists hyping his work, including tracks off his pivotal Scuzzy EP.

Nikki Nair’s technique as a DJ is just as impressive as his production ability. An expert in cross-genre blending, his sets are somatic, textured and dynamic, braiding acidic electro, broken rhythms, ghetto tech, jungle, experimental disco, and bass music with dexterous ease. These are sonic narratives pointed to move and mesmerize peak-time floors. Nair’s productions, in conjunction with his selection skills, establish him as a fresh, unconventional voice in dance music.

Jerrau

Claiming his spot as a local talent, Jerrau is one of the trailblazers representing the contemporary wave of DJs from Amsterdam. Flagrantly knocking down barriers in the industry by maneuvering between events that are differentiated by genres, the Surinamese-Dutch DJ consolidates his broad interest and inexhaustible curiosity in various music styles during his sets and recurring radio shows. Drawing national attention, Jerrau aims beyond the Dutch borders.

Jerrau’s broad interest comes with a healthy dose of music as well as the culture surrounding it. This adds a deeper dimension to digging for new records. When he’s not behind the decks, he’s often found in front of the booth, learning from and supporting colleague DJs. Often seen at concerts, Jerrau’s curiosity essentially leads him to unconventional sources of inspiration, such as games, soundtracks and anime, which he subtly consolidates in his DJ sets.

Ranging between breakbeats, bass-heavy club music, and alternative electronic hip hop, there is something intriguing in the way Jerrau weaves these genres together with an infectious energy that radiates on the dance floors. Yet, this is not where his musical endeavours stop. His curiosity and enjoyment of discovering new music lead to two monthly radio shows at Radio Radio and Stranded FM in Amsterdam and Utrecht, respectively. Here, Jerrau explores the boundaries of his musical landscape and shares this with his listeners.

Sharpening his vision and doubling down on his determination during the pandemic resulted in a complete breakthrough and establishing himself by taking over festivals all across the Netherlands, such as Best Kept Secret, Down The Rabbit Hole, Lowlands and Orbit festival. With the support of the Bureau Punt agency, Jerrau embodies the DJ who dares to venture beyond established boundaries and operates at the cutting edge of DJ culture. Persistently honing his craft locally, Jerrau now aims for crowds beyond the Netherlands to provide his unique mix of music.

Soft Break

Soft Break is a Rotterdam-born and based DJ, audiovisual artist and designer whose early encounters with the city's jungle, dubstep and grime scene are heavily reflected in her eclectic sets. Moving through gentle vocals, percussion, hard drums, footwork, hip-hop and thundering bass, expect genre-busting, energy-driven aural narratives, full of unexpected twists and turns from this rising star.

2022 marked the year of major debuts, wowing crowds at Dekmantel Festival, De School, WOO HAH!, Vandalized, SPIELRAUM and Dekmantel Selectors throughout a variety of outstanding sets, frequently sharing the stage with her companion Nala Brown. As a founding member of the collective AMPFEMININE, she curates mixes by femme-identifying DJ’s, booking talent and hosting events and parties.
