After two groundbreaking Symbiosis editions alongside Synesthesia, this May 12th, Ignite takes Parallel’s stage once again - on a solo showcase this time round. Fasten your seatbelts for a night that transcends your typical clubbing experience: Ignite is the space where techno and art become one.

The Music? Broadening the edges of melodic techno, Ignite’s Resident DJ Main Identity invites two of Amsterdam’s hottest names in the melodic scene. From 02:00-04:00, Vomee will ignite the room with a melting pot of influences and sounds within his electro beat that will take you on a ride into mesmerizing and never-predictable vibrations. Closing the night with a bang, from 04:00-06:00, Alex Preda will transport us to a place far away from here with his characteristic warm melodies.

The Art? Sometimes, more is more. Throughout the night and encompassing many of Parallel’s multifaceted spaces, get ready to be surprised by a myriad of performances. From parkour athletes, to a small collection of abstract shades on canvas inspired by the movement of the dance floor, to a journey into mixology with special tea(se) depending on your mood, there will be plenty of unexpected twists to keep you on your toes!

Main Identity

Main Identity, is a Brazilian born and Amsterdam based DJ and producer who, by his own words, has the “purpose in life of telling stories through music”.For the past couple of years, Main Identity has been diving into the techno world, having the opportunities to showcase his love for music not only through his long melodic sets, but also by externalising his feelings and thoughts onto his productions with a release on Brazilian’s Prototype Music. He is also resident DJ of Ignite, curating the sound imprint of the organization with his signature high energy and hypnotic waves of melodic techno"

Vomee

VOMEE a DJ, artist, and producer, was born in Bari (Puglia, Italy), but is now based in Amsterdam. His music aims to meld melodic elements into electro and techno beats. The result of this work is a melting pot between various influences and styles, providing the audience with a mesmerizing and never predictable sound. He released on several record labels such as Odditv, Natura Viva, Running Clouds, Be Free Recordings, and Black Rose.

Alex Preda

Amsterdam-based Alex Preda ('84) was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania. The spark of love for dance music was lit with favorites including disco and dance pop era of the '90's. In 2007 Alex moved to the Netherlands. The Preda sound has developed over the years, with his taste evolving into the electronic sounds of the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis in his teens, into his signature driving techno. Always with an element of warmth and melody underneath, it has grown into integrating live elements in his performances, something Alex has been perfecting over the years.
