Children of the Light x Parallel

As a multifaceted club venue producing and showcasing cutting-edge music, culture-at-large plays an equal role in our mission. In preparation for our opening, we commissioned the dynamic Amsterdam light artist duo Children Of The Light to create an eye-catching centrepiece for our dance floor.

Renowned for transforming and illuminating spaces with their craft, we are proud to home a piece that utilises light to capture a sense of the fleeting moments of nights we hope to never forget. Alongside this creation, Children Of The Light have an advisory role regarding our general lighting plan, championing the space as a future-facing melting pot of music, art and culture-at-large.

Children of the Light are a duo of Amsterdam-based visual artists: Christopher Gabriel (1980, Oslo) and Arnout Hulskamp (1978, Amsterdam). Their multimedia practice spans performance, video, sculpture and immersive installations, creating art and experiences using light as their primary material. Working on a deeply visceral and sensorial level, their art often evokes moments of wonder and transcendence in their audience.
